“Ben Chilwell was fantastic today. His ability to be so high up the pitch, and that’s not a bad thing, and his great quality on the ball. The lads who have come in have all had issues so we need to give them time but Ben has shown what he’s all about.”
Chilwell opened up on his debut performance and what was talked about with the score 0-0 at half-time.
“The first half was frustrating but we didn’t really create enough. At half time we spoke about being a bit more creative and taking a few more chances in the final third and we came out sharp in the second half and scored four very good goals.
“It’s the same for all team but there’s not really been a pre-season it’s going to take a few weeks for everyone to bed in and in the second half today I think we showed that it is starting to gel together nicely.
