Tesco reveal its Christmas food range including festive cake, crisps and party food

Tesco’s food range includes an impressive line-up this year with a selection of festive cake, party nibbles and even Christmas themed crisps. With our celebrations being smaller this year, the supermarket giant’s food line is sure to help you still enjoy the day. Customers can explore the range now, with some items available in-store and some launching within the weeks closer to Christmas.

“It works well with a  variety of different meats, desserts and snacks, to add Christmas cheer to every course.”

Although gatherings will be smaller this year, the supermarket has launched a range of brand new party foods that are sure to satisfy everyone at the dinner table.

From bitesize appetisers like mini ham hock and cheddar to mini ham and cheddar toasties, the party food prices start at just £2.

There are also giant pigs in blankets for £2 and each pork sausage has been seasoned with pepper before behind hand wrapped in streaky bacon rashers.

From vegan mozzarella sticks to soybean prawn firecracker dippers, the plant-based range is bigger than ever.

Head of Plant-Based Innovation at Tesco, Derek Samoa said: “Ready for the best holiday ever? At Tesco, we’ve got it covered when it comes to offering your guests plenty of choice, as our extensive range allows you to mix in incredible plant-based party foods with traditional Christmas favourites.

“What’s more, our amazing new plant-based foods are delicious enough for meat eaters too, so hosts can relax knowing that there are plenty of options for everyone to enjoy together.”

The supermarket also has plenty of delicious puddings to go round the table.

The Tesco Finest Chocolate Orange & Maple Bauble Cake costs £13 and consists of two layers of orange sponge, a layer of chocolate and orange brownie sandwiched together with a Belgian chocolate and orange buttercream, hand-finished with a white chocolate bauble decoration and maple flavoured buttercream.

The supermarket says it should serve 14 people, which is ideal for big families and is available in stores from November 23.

If you enjoy an after-dinner drink, Tesco has launched a gingerbread latte Irish cream liqueur which can be served over ice or added to a hot chocolate or coffee.

Alongside the traditional Christmas puddings, Tesco has launched a new one for 2020 including a ginger spiced chai-tea soaked cake.

The supermarket giant has also released a plant-based version of the classic mince pie which features no butter.
