  • Newcastle are willing to sell winger Rolando Aarons before Monday’s deadline
  • The 24-year-old started his career with the club but has failed to break through
  • His contract expires next summer and Newcastle don’t want to lose him for free

Newcastle will consider offers for attacker Rolando Aarons ahead of the transfer deadline.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and the Magpies are keen to cash in on Aarons this month rather than lose him for nothing.

A host of clubs in the UK and abroad will be alerted to the former England youth international.

Newcastle are ready to let Rolando Aarons leave the club with his contract expiring next year

Newcastle are ready to let Rolando Aarons leave the club with his contract expiring next year

There is no immediate rush for Newcastle to agree Aarons’ transfer by Monday’s deadline as he is still able to join EFL clubs up until October 16.

Aarons has spent his entire career with the club but has struggled to break through into the first team – being shipped out on loan to a handful of clubs over the years.

His recent spells came with Wycombe in League One, playing 13 times and scoring twice before being sent to Motherwell and featuring in eight games. He has previously gained experience at Sheffield Wednesday, Slovan Liberec in the Czech Republic and Hellas Verona in Serie A, being unable to forge a name for himself in any stint.

Aarons, who joined Newcastle as a 16-year-old, has played just 27 times for the club but has not played a game since the 2017-18 season.
