One Direction: Harry Styles may release NEW music to follow-up Fine Line 'this year'

One Direction made their mark in the music industry when they arrived in 2010 on The X Factor. By the time the band split up in 2016 they had achieved 61 number ones and a staggering 36 million sales across the globe. Following the end of the band, each of the members have been working on their own music. This year Harry Styles has been at the forefront of the Top 100 charts, as his single Watermelon Sugar slowly crept its way to the number one spot in August this year, after first being released in May.

That isn’t all for Harry, however, as it sounds like the star could be gearing up to release new content soon.

Harry’s first self-titled album was released back in 2017, carving his own path as more of a rock act than just a traditional pop star.

Last year saw the release of Harry’s second album, Fine Line, which spent two weeks at number one in the USA.

Excitingly the 26-year-old star could already have another album on the way soon.

In a recent interview with Music Week, a spokesperson for Columbia Records – Harry’s current label – hinted at what is to come later this year.

They said: “We’ve got a few more things up our sleeve for the rest of the year but you’ll have to wait and see.

“Giving the fans mysteries to unravel has been an important part of the campaign, so we’re going to keep our cards close to our chests for now.”

This statement is quite vague, but considering Harry Styles is one of their most popular artists, chances are good that he may be releasing new music later on this year.

After significant outcry, and a petition which reached 35,000 signatures, their cries were heard prompting the return of the band’s wax models to the exhibit.

The band were put back in their original spot in Mademe Tussauds’ Music Zone, where they were first placed in 2013.

Madame Tussauds’ General manager Tim Waters commented at the time: “Despite One Direction continuing to pursue successful solo careers, Directioners have told us loud and clear that they’re not ready for a world where they can’t still meet Harry, Zayn, Niall, Louis and Liam together as a band.

“At Madame Tussauds London we are constantly reacting to the showbiz landscape, but ultimately we create the celebrity experience that our guests want to enjoy.

“One Direction’s figures will return to the attraction’s music zone from tomorrow where the band’s dedicated fans will once again be able to meet their heroes as a fivesome.”

The spokesperson also joked about Horan’s involvement in the plea to return the models to their rightful places.

He said: “We also welcome Niall to come and knock on our door any time that he’s free.”

Directioners can now attend the wax museum once again to visit the band whenever they like.
