Andrew Neil mocks 'weak' Biden as Trump creates 'sleepy Joe bloodbath' in US debate

Andrew Neil, former BBC presenter, tweeted Mr Biden needed to have a stronger showing against the US President, and said: “Biden should not allow himself to be bullied by Trump. Looks weak.” Raheem Kassam, editor for news site The National Pulse added: “When Chris Wallace lets Donald Trump speak, it’s a sleepy Joe bloodbath”  Jillian Anderson, Fox News presenter, also said: “Trump’s actually doing sleepy Joe a favor by cutting him off every time he starts to jumble his words.”

It comes after Mr Trump has torn into the Democrat for his coronavirus comments, and said: “If we would have listened to you, the country would have been left wide open.

“Millions of people would have died, not 200,000. And one person is too much, it’s China’s fault. It should have never happened.”

He then attacked China, Russia and India for not “exactly giving you a straight count” and Mr Biden for the Democrat’s attacks on his coronavirus response

Mr Trump added: “You didn’t think we should close out country because you thought it was terrible. You wouldn’t have closed it for another two months.

“In fact Dr Fauci said ‘President Trump saved thousands of lives’. Many of your Democrat governors said ‘President Trump did a phenomenal job’.”

After Mr Biden laughed at the President’s comments, Mr Trump ramped up his attacks.

He claimed “most of them said” he had done a greta job tackling the pandemic, and added: “You wouldn’t have made ventilators, and now we’re weeks away from a vaccine. We’re doing therapeutics already, far fewer people are dying. We’ve done a great job.”

Mr Trump the said: “Let me tell you Joe, you could never have done the job that we did.

“You don’t have it in your blood, you could have never done it.”
