Im a huge fan of HyperDrive, coming from using their more recent adapter for the MacBook Pro to their newest for the iPad its been a plug-n-play experience.
In testing on the iPad Pro (2018), the adapter works amazing well and is slim enough to work with most cases that allow the frame of the iPad to be exposed (such as Apples own Smart Keyboard).
Important note about cases, if youre using a case with a shell, this adapter may not work. Its designed to grab on to the frame and theres no flex in the prongs that keep it in place.
One could trim the prongs from the adapter though youll likely void your warranty and hitting the adapter may result in the USB plug bending and causing damage to the adapter and device.
That said, if you need USB-A, HDMI, and a headphone jack for your iPad, this is a great and affordable option. Itll be in my travel bag for sure.
It’s a great accessory that will allow me to access a usb drive and charge my iPad simultaneously. However it doesn’t fit with the protective case I have for my iPad, so I will be adding an extension cord.

Great all in 1 adaptor that’s great to have around “just in case” your ever need it. HDMI works great for streaming media to your tv or using another device as a second monitor.
Usb allows for storage devices to be plugged in and transferring of data without having to plug into a computer, for my purposes I just use the native files app for viewing and saving files to the iPad and it works good.
