WoW Shadowlands pre-patch release date latest and World of Warcraft patch update

The World of Warcraft Shadowlands expansion is going to bring big changes to the popular MMO, starting with the new WoW t pre-patch. The latest news regarding the launch of the big milestone was shared today by the development team, who are busy getting ready for October 27. Last week saw Blizzard put the WoW update on the official background downloader, an early sign that things are about to get interesting.

And without providing a solid WoW Shadowlands pre-patch release date, they have warned gamers to get ready for changes.

This was part of a new WoW Shadowlands guide shared by Blizzard on the game’s official site, which included the announcement of the end of the Battle for Azeroth PvP Season 4.

The one thing missing if the official release date for the WoW Shadowlands pre-patch, which could still arrive before the end of September.

Fans are hoping for something to arrive by September 29, but it’s unclear at this time just how long the pre-patch period of this latest WoW expansion will last.

The guide reads: “The gates will soon close on Battle for Azeroth PvP Season 4 with the release of the Shadowlands pre-expansion patch.

“Don’t worry though, you’ll still be able to take part in competitive PvP in a special post-season, which will end with the launch of the expansion. The new Shadowlands Season 1 will then go live shortly after the launch of Shadowlands.”

Another part of the blog post adds: “To help you prepare for the upcoming Shadowlands pre-expansion patch and plan your adventures from now until Shadowlands arrives, we’ve compiled a variety of helpful information.

“With the pre-expansion patch, levels, items, and stats will be adjusted to make reaching a new level feel more meaningful while simultaneously making the leveling experience faster than before.

“Characters at level 120 will become level 50 after the content update. To help you understand how the change will affect your character’s level, we’ve pulled together this handy conversion table.

“With the upcoming release of Shadowlands and the leveling adjustments that come with it, we’re making a few changes to Recruit A Friend.

“Beginning with the release of the pre-expansion patch, characters who are created by a recruited friend will receive a unique 30-slot bag—the Extra-Spacious Knapsack—upon completing their adventure in Exile’s Reach as a part of the new player experience.”

Based on recent reports, the Shadowlands pre-patch will weigh in at around 20GB but the final size will depend on what you’ve been playing.

If you have been testing out the latest WoW expansion via the PTR or Beta, the download size for the pre-patch should be much smaller.

Fans have been waiting for some kind of tell from Blizzard this month, as it’s traditional for the development team to drop a pre-patch around six weeks before the final game goes live.

Based on that, it’s not surprising to learn that the Shadowlands pre-patch has started to appear in the wild.

So while nothing has been officially confirmed, we could be getting a big Shadowlands announcement from Blizzard very soon.

While we don’t have a Shadowlands pre-patch launch date to talk about right now, Blizzard have confirmed there will be no delays to the full expansion’s launch in October 2020.
