FIFA 21 demo launching today: Release date, launch time, download NEWS for PS4, Xbox One

Football fans are wondering when the FIFA 21 demo will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The good news is that the FIFA 21 demo release date could be as early September 21 on all platforms.

That’s according to popular FIFA YouTube star Krasi, who has evidence that the demo will launch at 5pm BST UK time later today.

It all started when a famous Spanish YouTube star asked EA Sports how many retweets it would take for the FIFA 21 demo to launch on Monday.

EA Sports responded by suggesting that 10,000 retweets would be enough for an imminent demo launch, something that was achieved a short time later.

While it’s worth taking with a pinch of salt until EA Sports makes an official announcement, it would be unusual for the company to tease the launch of the demo if plans weren’t already in place for an imminent release.

If the FIFA 21 demo doesn’t launch later today, then it’s likely to have a September 22 release date instead.

FIFA demos typically drop roughly two weeks ahead of the full game launch. The FIFA 20 demo, for example, was released 17 days ahead of the full game.

If EA Sports continues with this tradition, then the FIFA 21 demo is expected to drop on September 22.

That’s two weeks ahead of the release of the early-access Champions Edition, and 17 days before the launch of the standard edition.

EA Sports has told fans to check its social channels for official confirmation of the demo release date closer to launch.

“Hello there & thanks for your interest in FIFA 21. Nothing to announce regarding the demo right now but stay tuned to our social channels & we’ll have more news on this as we get closer to launch day.”

With Kylian Mbappe announced as the main cover star, the demo is likely to include Paris Saint-Germain. There’s also a good chance it will feature one or both of AC Milan and Inter Milan, after the two clubs signed deals with EA Sports ahead of the game’s release.

Elsewhere, star players like Erling Haaland, Trent Alexander-Arnold and João Félix have signed Ambassador deals with EA Sports, making Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid likely contenders for the demo.

If you enjoy the demo and want to play more of the game early and ahead of schedule, EA Sports is offering early access with the Champions and Ultimate Editions of the game.
