Entertainment Tonight reported this week that Christina Anstead and Ant Anstead have split up following two years of marriage. A source who spoke with Us Weekly claimed Ant and Christina have kept their romance under wraps for the most part.
Friends of the couple are just as surprised as the public regarding their choice to split up because they seemed so happy together all of the time. On her Instagram account this Friday, the 37-year-old announced that she and her 41-year-old husband were calling it off after just two years.
On her account this week, Christina said she and Ant made the “difficult decision to separate,” alongside a photo of her and Ant walking into the sunset.
As fans of the couple know, they first got married in December 2018, and they welcomed their child, Hudson, approximately nine months later. The HGTV personality said to reporters from Us in April that she felt very safe with him.
Anstead explained that she felt a sense of calm whenever she was around him. Christina went on to say that she was unsure what has changed about her in the last few years, perhaps it’s age, or maybe it’s the fact she went through a very public divorce.
Either way, things don’t bother her as much as they used to. Christina Anstead has already been married before. She and Tarek El Moussa were together from 2009 until 2018. During their time together, they shared a 9-year-old daughter, Taylor, and a 5-year-old son, Brayden.
During a chat with reporters from Us Weekly on Monday, the 14th of September, Tarek said he and Christina were still getting along. Despite the nature of their split, they filmed episodes of their series, Flip or Flop.

Tarek claimed he and Christina were “cordial,” and filming together wasn’t a problem. According to El Moussa, they’re not having barbecues together on Sunday, but life is good, and they’ve moved on. Tarek, on the other hand, got engaged to Heather Rae Young in July after just one year of dating.
