Queen guitarist Brian May has spent much of lockdown entertaining his fans with a series of micro-concerts via his Instagram. But the 73-year-old has also been recovering from a minor heart attack and a ripped gluteus maximus. But now it looks like the star is on the mend, as he’s teased a secret video shoot.
Taking a selfie via a mirror, a masked May wrote: “Social Distancing Secret Video Shoot Day – wow ! Feels like being back in business !! Hoorah !!! Bri.”
The rocker then shared a number of mute videos of glamorous women singing in black dresses.
One of them is Kerry Ellis, May’s long-time collaborator and the original Meat from the London cast of We Will Rock You.
May also shared a couple of photos and a video of himself getting “ready for action” with his guitar.

She said: “It’s a really difficult one to understand unless you’re doing it.
“You’re doing something that you love doing…more than life; being out there performing, it’s like breathing. It’s so special.
“And having that relationship with an audience and making people feel things [and seeing them] react the way that they do, is incredible.
“Also, the other side of it that people don’t see, or perhaps they now do see because of social media, is the time that you’re out for months at a time, you’re away from your family, you’re in a lot of hotel rooms – which sounds very glamorous – but actually you’re on your own quite a bit.
Ellis added: “And if you’re not performing you’re resting and recovering and making sure you’re looking after yourself well.
“It is quite a difficult thing and then when you come off tour that’s also really difficult as well because you come back to reality and you’re putting the washing on and making the breakfast and those everyday things.
“It’s such a dynamic change and it’s quite a hard thing to get your head around. I think every performer goes through it in a way.
“Brian is known all over the world and with this social media platform he can obviously be a bit more vocal about [his struggles], but I think it’s a good thing. He’s speaking out and reaching out and saying how he’s feeling and I think it might help other people, which is great.”
