Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris rewards this week and Xur location news

Bungie is launching this week’s latest events, including the launch of Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris.

New rewards will be coming to the game across PS4, Xbox One and PC this week, alongside the return of Xur.

The exotic item merchant is a big part of the Destiny 2 weekly rotation and his return to a random location somewhere in the world of D2.

This means tracking him down somewhere on the map, or inside the Tower, and grabbing whatever catches your eye.

We don’t know yet where he will be popping up but the mystery should be revealed very soon for gamers across all platforms.

Xur usually offers at least four different items, with last week’s selection including The Prospector Arc heavy grenade launcher and Ophidia Spathe Hunter chest.

And as mentioned above, gamers can expect a mix of exotic weapons and an assortment of armor pieces when Xur pops up.

Guardians will need to pay for them with Legendary Shards and we should know more about it by tonight.

Meanwhile, gamers are just hours away from the latest Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris event kicking off, bringing with it the latest rewards.

Stringing together wins is the aim of the game but we can’t know for sure what weapons and armour will be included until Guardians start discovering them.

The Flawless loot might take longer to confirm, but we’ll be sure to update this story as soon as we know more.

Destiny Trials of Osiris will be kicking off on September 18 at around 6pm BST, or 10am PT if you live in the United States.

This should be the same time that we find out where Xur is on the Destiny 2 map for the coming days.

As always, Guardians will have the chance to grab new loot, which can be traded for Legendary Shards.

Returning players will want to visit Saint-14 just, who will be located in the Tower Hangar.

The Osiris reset offers a new inventory of Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

A different map and a fresh set of rewards will be available to Guardians today if they meet the requirements of the 960 Power rating needed to buy Passages.

As ever, Trials fans will earn exclusive rewards by defeating other teams of three, while hoping to gain entry to the Lighthouse.

Additional Masterwork material rewards now drop at three, five, and seven Trials wins, and Trials Tokens distribution has been re-balanced to focus on wins three, five, and seven of a Trials Passage.

Each Passage will track wins and losses in a single Trials run. If three losses appear on a Passage, players will be restricted from the activity and have to either reset the Passage or purchase a new one.

Bungie has also revealed more news regarding how things will be changing when Beyond Light launches in November.

This includes making your Ghost companion more interesting, making them more customisable.

Ghost Shells will now have energy levels and access to mods with various energy costs instead of being pre-loaded with specific perks.

This treatment has been applied to all Ghosts outside of the Generalist Shell, so you can use your favourite Ghost Shells, regardless of tier.
