Zodiac sign: What is my Chinese zodiac sign?

The Chinese zodiac is just like the Western astrology we know and love, but the time division is different. Chinese astrology splits us into animal signs based on what year we were born. It’s different to the Gregorian calendar that goes from January to December though, as the Chinese astrology uses the lunar calendar. What is my Chinese zodiac sign?

Each year in the lunar cycle is represented by one animal, such as a rat or an ox.

The exact date for Lunar New Year varies from 21 January and February 20, so people that were in the same school year or are the same age as you may not have the same sign as you.

Just like in Western astrology, each sign has different characteristics and traits.

However, In Chinese astrology, your sign represents how others see you or how you view yourself.
