One posted on the social media platform: “A Question of sport needed a revamp and Alex Scott is a great choice, just need MOTD to follow sky super Saturday and revamp their presenters now.”
Another added: “As soon as I heard the line-up was changing, the name that immediately came to mind was Alex’s. Great choice and I know she’ll smash it! Go for it lady! X.”
Although others continued the praise for Alex, they also issued doubt on why Sue and her co-stars had to be axed.
“I think Alex Scott is a fantastic pundit and a real personality and will no doubt be fantastic,” a third commented.
“I do however have a problem with the BBC continuing to oust perfectly good female broadcasters for a younger model. It doesn’t seem to happen with the lads #JustSaying,” they continued.
