Tony Cascarino thinks his former club Chelsea have already signed a player better than Manchester United’s top transfer target Jadon Sancho in Kai Havertz.
Chelsea have already spent over £200million on new recruits as they attempt to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City.
Their most expensive signing of the window was £71m which they paid Bayer Leverkusen for Havertz.
The 21-year-old Germany international is expected to make his debut in the Premier League opener against Brighton tonight.
And Cascarino is glad Chelsea captured Havertz instead of battling United for Sancho.
“I cannot wait to see Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic leading the line for Chelsea,” Cascarino told The Times.

Most of the Red Devils’ effort has been focussed on tempting Borussia Dortmund to lower their £108m valuation of Sancho.
That transfer saga looks set to rumble on until the last few days of the transfer window, which shuts on October 5.
Meanwhile, Havertz will get his first taste of Premier League action tonight and Frank Lampard is looking forward to seeing his new man in action.
“I’ve loved him for a long time as a player since he came through,” the Chelsea boss said.

“He’s a different player to what I was but, when it’s an attacking midfielder that scores goals, obviously I certainly sit up and take notice.
“His style is very unique, he’s six-foot-two plus which is a great help in the modern day to have tall players in forward areas like that but the most important thing about him is his natural quality of receiving the ball and talent on the ball and calmness and quality and he arrives to score goals.”
