How Princess Diana helped Sarah Ferguson with the dress for her wedding day

An article published in Vanity Fair in 1987, just a year after Fergie’s wedding, claimed: “(Sarah Ferguson’s) angst-free antics have highlighted the mounting pressures on the Princess of Wales.”

In fact, the redhead revealed had not spoken to Princess Diana for a year before she passed away, but that she attempted to make contact.

She told Harper’s Bazaar: “And the saddest thing, at the end, we hadn’t spoken for a year, though I never knew the reason, except that once Diana got something in her head.

“I tried, wrote letters, thinking whatever happened didn’t matter, let’s sort it out.”
