Arsenal stars Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah in angry bust-up before Fulham clash

Arsenal stars Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah appeared to be involved in an angry confrontation before the opening Premier League match of the season against Fulham. BT Sport showed a clip of the duo squaring up to each other in the pre-match warm-up. Ceballos and Nketiah were among the substitutes warming up when the incident happened.

Ceballos was the player in the middle of the circle, with the other five outfield substitutes attempting to pass the ball around the Spaniard.

However, the midfielder, on loan for a second season from Real Madrid, went in late on striker Nketiah which led to a coming together.

The duo pushed each other and exchanged words before the warm-up continued.

However, seconds later Nketiah appeared to boot the ball at Ceballos, which led to left-back Sead Kolasinac interfering and breaking the pair up.

And Ferdinand says incidents like that happen all the time at training grounds and does not think Mikel Arteta would be disappointed to see that from his players.

“Yeah of course it is, it’s part of it,” said Ferdinand.

“”It’s part of it. I think at the end of the day, it gets heated. You’d see that once or twice a week down at the training ground.

“It’s just that we happen to be here and we’ve seen it. I’m sure Arteta won’t be too disappointed with that.”

Peter Crouch added: “Good to see I think.”

Arteta handed Arsenal debuts to summer signings Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes at Craven Cottage.

Centre-back William Saliba was left out of the squad, as was Mesut Ozil.

Bernd Leno started in goal, with Emiliano Martinez likely to complete a move away from the club in the coming days.
