Gisele Bundchen Gets Candid About Her Struggle With ‘All Consuming’ Anxiety And Panic Attacks

In her newest post on Instagram, Gisele Bundchen opened up about her mental health, talking about the help she sought after struggling with a lot of anxiety and even panic attacks. Here’s what she had to say!

After all, Gisele has a pretty massive platform so it makes sense that she is trying to bring awareness to mental health issues.

Perhaps more than ever Gisele Bundchen has been dealing with extreme anxiety amid the COVID-19 quarantine.

Alongside a pic of her and her pet dog cuddling up together, Gisele opened up about everything she has been going through in hopes of helping others in a similar situation.

‘From my own experience I learned nothing is permanent. Sometimes a reminder that the bad feelings will go away eventually can work like a beacon of hope. Anxiety can feel all consuming, and sometimes we need a push to help break us out of our vicious cycle of worry,’ she wrote.

The celeb went on to explain that her panic attacks were really difficult.

However, she refused to suffer in silence and so, she started seeking help, which is really important but unfortunately something people rarely do when dealing with anxiety, depression and other similar mental illnesses.

‘In moments like these, family, friends and specialists can really help, and so can breathing and meditation. The most important thing is to move away from the inertia and look for alternatives. Life’s our greatest gift—and every day’s worth it,’ the model concluded her message.

From my own experience I learned that nothing is permanent. Sometimes a gentle reminder that the bad feelings will eventually go away can work like a beacon of hope. Anxiety can feel all-consuming, and sometimes we need a supportive push to help break us out of our vicious cycle of worry. My own panic attacks were difficult for me, and I sought help. In moments like these, family, friends and specialists can help, and so can breathing and meditation tools. The most important thing is to move away from inertia and look for alternatives. Life is our greatest gift—and every day is worth it.
