Van der Meulen Melba Thins Original have been removed from shelves due to unlisted egg in the product. Anyone with an allergy or intolerance could be negatively affected by the product.
The Food Standards Agency said: “Van der Meulen is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

What other products have currently, or have recently, been recalled?
Greggs issued a warning on Steak Bakes with safety risks.
Greggs has a range of products available from Iceland stores for shoppers to tuck into at home.
The frozen Steak Bake packs have been recalled by the supermarket chain, according to a warning by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
This would cause a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance.
The affected packs are 600 grams with the lot number 0105.
The stores have now updated the recall to include packs with any best before date in October 2021.
A statement said: “At SPAR we take the quality and safety of our food products very seriously. As a precaution, we are recalling our Chicken & Prawn Paella 600g, as due to a packaging error the product is seafood risotto and may include Milk, Mollusc, Fish and Gluten which is not declared on the label.
“The recall affects products with the Best Before Date 10/2021 only. We advise anyone who has purchased this item to return to the store for a full refund. No other SPAR products or batch codes are affected.”
