Donald Trump: US President to be given 'shot' as Democrats fail to solve 'central problem'

Jadan Horyn told Express.co.uk that Donald Trump‘s record on unemployment rates before the coronavirus pandemic will be enough to beat Joe Biden in the 2020 US Presidential election. The US political commentator added the opinion that Donald Trump deserves another term as President to solve the central problems in the US which the Democrats can’t.

Mr Horyn said: “As someone who follows these things and looks at the President, I know that before coronavirus hit there was a clear message.

“It was the best economy in 50 years, the best unemployment rate for every minority in the history of the country.

“I don’t think after nine months that the general opinion of the President, who has found a message that resonates with voters, will be anything other than give him a shot.

“I think with around 60 days left that is the central problem for the Democrats.”

During the same interivew,  Mr Horyn stated that he expects the 2020 US election will be much closer than Donald Trump’s previous victory in 2016.

The US political commentator added that the Democrats’ decision to double down on cancel culture and left-wing progressive socialism will not work in states central to the outcome of the Presidential election.

Mr Horyn said: “I think we will come very close to a repeat of 2016.

“Looking at the background and polls compared with this time last election, in the same states that he won, the battle ground states he is down 4.2 percent vs 4.9 percent back then.

“In the states that it has been central for Biden to pick up, he is not gaining and he is not making traction.”

He continued: “I do not believe that the Democrats doubling down on cancel culture and left progressive socialism will work in states that haven’t seen economic growth or progress from the neo-liberalism of the last 25 years.

“I still don’t see the Democratic party understanding that those states are central.

“They have put a figure in like Biden who they think looks like them those people, but their messaging has nothing to do with that.

“I think that gives a real opportunity to the President to just squeak it out.”
