Power Book 2 cast: Who is in the cast of Power Book II Ghost?

Fans of Power were left grief-stricken after New York kingpin James “Ghost” St Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick) was murdered. Although the story was over for Ghost, it was just beginning for his son Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr). Express.co,uk looks at the cast for Power Book II: Ghost.

Who is in the cast of Power Book II Ghost?

Tasha St. Patrick – Naturi Naughton

Naturi Naughton will be reprising her role in the Starz series as Tasha St Patrick for Ghost but sadly this time she will banged up behind bars doing time for Tariq’s crime.

Prior to Power, Naughton starred as Lil’ Kim in Notorious, Fame, The Client List and The Playboy Club.

She was also a part of the Noughties girl group 3LW before deciding to part ways with her fellow band members.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk about coming back to the Power franchise, Naughton said: “It’s definitely a continuation in some ways, but it’s also a completely new vibe, a new evolution because we have to Tariq St Patrick who is, you know, becoming a lot more like ghost than he probably realizes.”

She admitted it was challenging filming without her screen partner Hardwick as she was now in the spotlight.

Even though Tasha and Ghost were estranged, Naughton said it was still a partnership of sorts.

Naughton said she missed Hardwick, adding: “But you know, I know he’s happy for all of us, and we’re still friends.”

“50 Cent told me when we were filming season 6, he was like, ‘Yo, you know you’re gonna be the lead of your own show soon?’ and I was just like ‘whatever’, it’s 50 Cent so sometimes he’ll be just like joking around.

“Then two weeks after Courtney tells me the same exact thing so that’s when I’m like, ‘Oh s****’, it definitely got real for me at that point so once Courtney told I was still in disbelief but honestly I really appreciate it you know.”

He went on to say: “The workload is lit now, it’s huge now but my crew and the cast they make it so much easier for me.

“When I first started I honestly thought it was gonna be like a lot of pressure and I was kinda nervous, I never really get nervous for anything but that was the first thing I actually got a bit nervous for.”

Monet – Mary J. Blige

Music legend and actress Mary J. Blige will be joining Ghost as queenpin Monet, who will come into the orbit of Tariq.

Along with a lengthy, multi-Grammy Award-winning career, Blige has shown her acting chops in The Umbrella Academy, Scream: The TV series and How To Get Away With Murder.

Davis Maclean – Method Man

Wu-Tang Clan star Cliff “Method Man” Smith is going to be joining the cast as shady lawyer Davis Maclean, who is brought into assist with Tasha’s case.

Prior to Ghost, the star has featured in Netflix’s Teenage Bounty Hunters, The Last O.G. and The Deuce.

Cooper Saxe – Shane Johnson

Shane Johnson is back again as disgraced FBI attorney Cooper Saxe, who remains intent on taking down the St Patricks one way or another.

Johnson has starred in Behind Enemy Lines, Saving Private Ryan, The Great Buck Howard, and The Possession of Michael King, among other roles.

Diana Tejada – LaToya Tonodeo

Up-and-coming actress LaToya Tonodeo takes on the part of Monet’s daughter Diana Tejada, who makes friends with Tariq.

Before Power, she starred in The Oath, The Fosters, The Head Thieves and The Perfect Match.

Brayden – Gianni Paolo

Making a comeback to the world of Power is Gianni Paolo as Brayden, one of Tariq’s former classmates.

Along with Power, he also starred in The Fosters, The Mick and Chance.

Other cast members include Lovell Adams-Gray as Dru, Daniel Bellomy as Zeke, Paige Hurd as Lauren and Justin Marcel McManus as Jabari Reynolds.
