Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, he said: “I took her out to some nice places and I got her some nice things through my sponsors, took her to the nail shop.
“It was all over social media, didn’t they talk about that? Oh deary me. I know what the game is, I’ve been in it for 40 years.”
The actor went on to say that he does miss dancing with the pro, but insisted they no longer speak.
“I miss dancing with her, yeah,” he added.
“We didn’t have that kind of relationship, she went home to her fiancé and I went home to my mrs.”
