Susanna Reid, 49, had one piece of advice for singer Adele, 32, and that’s “start living” and to enjoy life as it comes. The Good Morning Britain host revealed she purchased the book the Chasing Pavements hitmaker encouraged her followers to indulge in, but it didn’t have the promised effect.
Adele hailed the book in question, Untamed: Stop Pleasing, Start Living by author Glennon Doyle Melton, which is an inspirational memoir which explores self-help mechanisms enhance the reader’s life.
But Susanna wasn’t much impressed, calling it a “step too far”.
In her latest column, she explain how she had downloaded it after Adele’s lengthy Instagram post advertising it’s helpful narrative and how it made her “so ready” for herself.
She took to social media to share her experience after reading the motivational speakers words.

“I am so ready for myself after reading this book! It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time,” Adele exclaimed.
“Whew! Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life – Do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it.” she wrote.
Noting that readers will “want to refer back to it,” she continued: “I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!!
“Who knew our own liberation liberates those around us? Cause I didn’t!! I thought we were meant to be stressed and disheveled, confused and selfless like a Disney character!”
She added: “I’m glad that the author and Adele have found happiness, but reading it was taking up too much of my time. My advice? ‘Stop reading, start living.'”
It comes after Adele came under fire over the weekend for showing her support for Jamaican culture during what would have been the 2020 Notting Hill Carnival.
As the famous event was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus public health crisis, the singer was eager to celebrate somehow and dressed for the occasion at her home in LA.
But she sparked backlash by posing in a Jamaican flag-themed bikini top, with her hair styled in Bantu knots.
Many claimed she was exploiting “cultural appropriation”, but the extent of the criticism led high-profile stars to come to her defence.
Super model Naomi Campbell, X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and MP David Lammy were among those who believed the Hello hitmaker meant no harm by sharing her support for the carnival, which dates back to the 60s when it first took place to celebrate Caribbean culture.
Susanna and her co-host Piers Morgan also showed their support for the international vocalist on Tuesday morning, when they returned to our screens from their summer break.
“I think cultural appropriation is guff. She’s paying tribute. It’s appreciation,” Piers slammed while Susanna noted that people are just “looking something else to criticise her for” since her impressive weight loss.
