Dancing With The Stars season 29 celebrity cast is revealed… plus official poster with Tyra Banks

Season 29 of Dancing With The Stars has been revealed.

This year’s star-studded line up features Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause, Tiger King Star Carole Baskin, Jesse Metcalfe, Nelly and more, according to People.

Other celebs who signed on include Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean, former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe, Skai Jackson, Anne Heche, The Real’s Jeannie Mai,  One Day at a Time actress Justina Machado and Nev Shulman, host of Catfish.

Athletes include NBA star Charles Oakley, Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir and former NFL player Vernon Davis. 

Charles, 56, played on the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets from 1985 until 2004. 

Professional ice skater Johnny, 36, is a two-time Olympian, retiring from competitive figure skating in 2013; he is part of NBC’s primary figure skating analyst team with former skater Tara Lipinski.

Vernon Davis, 36, is a former NFL player that played for the San Francisco 49ers, the Denver Broncos and the Washington Redskins; he played on the Broncos in 2015 when they won Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

Monica Aldama, the head coach from the hit Netflix show Cheer is also signed up for this season. 

Chrishell, 39, is an actress and real estate agent; she stars on the Netflix hit reality series Selling Sunset.

The beauty, who previously starred on soap operas All My Children and Days of Our Lives, revealed on season three of the real estate show that husband Justin Hartley blindsided her by filing for divorce and then tell her via text, 45 minutes before it was publicly revealed.

Music stars: Nelly and Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean have also signed on to dance in this season of DWTS

Carole said of her new venture: ‘The biggest thing for me is the longer my partner and I can stay in the running and in the competition it will keep the cats forefront in the viewers’ eye, and to me that was where Tiger King missed the ball,’ she told People.

Adding: ‘It really should have been focused on the animals and I’m hoping dancing with the Stars will do that. I am competitive but I am competitive with myself. I want to do the very best that I can possibly do.’ 

Jesse, 41, is best known for his portrayal as John Rowland on Desperate Housewives and Christoper Ewing on the Dallas reboot; he currently stars on Chesapeake Shores on Hallmark Channel.

Nelly, 45, is a three-time Grammy award winning rapper that became a household name in the early 2000s with hits like Hot in Herre, Ride wit Me and Dilemma with Kelly Rowland. 

I’m a Scorpio. I feel like I can do anything so this is gonna be my biggest test yet, but I’m up for it,’ he told People, with a laugh.

Nelly continued: ‘I love competition and I think this is one that will set me apart from others if I can pull this one off only because I got two left feet, and probably two right ankles, so I’m trying to see where we can go with this thing.’

Anne, 51, is best known for her roles in Donnie Brasco, Volcano, Six Days, Seven Nights and Return to Paradise; Skai Jackson, 18, is an actress and Disney Channel star, who played Zuri Ross in Jessie as well as voiced Glory Grant in Marvel Rising.

Jeannie, 41, is a co-host on The Real; she is best known for her work on How Do I Look?

In April, the stylist and host got engaged to her rapper Jeezy. 

AJ, 42, is part of the boy band the Backstreet Boys; he formed the group with Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, and Nick Carter in 1993.

Justina, 47, starred on Jane The Virgin, Six Feet Under and Queen of the South; she currently stars on the Netflix/Pop TV series One Day at a Time as Penelope Alvarez. 

Nev Shulman, 35, is the host of Catfish: The TV Show on MTV; he is also the executive producer. 

Kaitlyn, 35, starred on the 19th season of the Bachelor and was the Bachelorette in season 11 of the series. 

The official celebrity line up comes just two months after a host shake up, with previous hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews parting ways with the show.

Tyra, 46, had said in a statement after the announcement she would be the new host: ‘I’ve been a fan of DWTS since its beginning… The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances… it’s always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk.’

Tom, 65, was the host of DWTS from 2005 until 2020; Erin, 42, replaced Brooke Burke-Charvet as the co-host of DWTS in 2014 with Tom.

The dancing pros selected for season 29 were announced last month; they include: Val Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, Artem Chigvintsev, Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd, Keo Motsepe, Jenna Johnson, Alan Bersten, Sasha Farba, Brandon Armstrong, Pasha Pashkov, Emma Slater and Gleb Savchenko. 

Two new dancers are joining for this season: Daniella Karagach and Britt Stewart. 

Celebrity and dancing pro pairings however will not be revealed until the two-hour premiere on September 14. 

Season 29 of DWTS kicks off on September 14 with a two hour show; it airs at 8 pm ET on ABC.
