I totally share your frustration and I’m just as eager to learn more, but Sony will be watching and gauging the market. If they feel they have the upper hand, they’ll hold back – why show your hand when things like logo reveals are breaking viewing records?
They know the thirst is real and they’ve been masters at building anticipation. It’s possible they’re bluffing and have already shown everything worthwhile, but history tells us otherwise and they have the benefit of 25 years worth of trust instilled in their potential consumers.
My guess is they’re holding back information to counter Microsoft’s moves, but when things like that Halo reveal happen, they hold back, understandably. Sadly, that means we don’t get the information we crave for a little longer.
As unlikely as it feels right now, Microsoft could be holding onto a Megaton announcement (in reality, they probably would have broken this out to counter the backlash they’ve faced) and Sony needs their counter attack ready to sway that ‘must purchase’ needle back towards PS5.
