Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) is a pinnacle of the Neighbours community, having been on the show in some capacity since the Channel 5 soap first aired in 1985. Since then, he has been at death’s door several times but seems to be a cat with nine lives as he has survived every time. However, when a siege goes down at Erinsborough High in upcoming scenes, his luck could run out as a terrifying drugs scandal reaches a deadly climax.

The drama begins when Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) continues with her investigation into illegal activity going on at the high school, despite being suspended from duty.

Scenes which will air on UK screens in the next few weeks will see the young officer relieved from her position after a mysterious character called River (Andrew Coshan) claims she assaulted him.

What she doesn’t realise is her superior Dax Braddock (Dean Kirkright) is actually corrupt and is the mastermind behind the drugs scandal.

This makes her mission to track down the dealer even more terrifying and when she tells the detective about her suspicions, he tasers her.

With no choice but to follow his orders, the youngster quickly finds herself drawing more people into the danger hostage situation, including Paul.

As events spiral, the soap stalwart and his granddaughter Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donavan) end up being chased down the corridor by Dax as they make their escape.

Armed with a baton, it seems the corrupt detective is willing to strike down anyone who gets in his way.

If the deranged character ends up targeting Paul’s granddaughter, the grandfather could jump in the line of fire to ensure she gets away unscathed.

However, having been dealt a fatal blow and evading death so many times before, could the beloved Ramsay Street resident be killed off?

However, could she make a big mistake as her husband is killed before she can broker peace between them?

It isn’t just Paul, Harlow and Yashvi who are in danger at the school as principal Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) also gets caught up in the drama.

While Dax is holding the young police officer hostage, she suddenly clocks the soap stalwart walking down the stairs.

Unfortunately, the Rebecchi daughter is unable to warn her neighbour in time as she’s soon taking orders from the corrupt officer.

MacKenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) and her boyfriend Richie Amblin (Lachie Millar) are also innocent bystanders who end up being hauled up in the hostage ordeal.

However, having recently had gender confirmation surgery, the former is taken gravely ill as she goes into cardiac arrest.

Susan is forced to follow instructions given to her by husband Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) as she performs CPR on her student.

With so many lives in danger, will more than one beloved character be killed off in the climactic end to the storyline?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5.
