Coronation Street spoilers: Shona drops pregnancy bombshell on David after romantic romp?

A pregnancy bombshell could be on the cards for Shona Ramsey (played by Julia Goulding) as she and husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) grow closer than ever during her recovery. Coronation Street viewers have watched as Shona is still trying to piece together the missing memories of her life but it’s become clearer she feels more comfortable around David. In coming episodes, she notes how odd it is being married and not “doing it” with her hubby, which begs the question whether a passionate night is on the cards for the couple as she tries to regain as much a normal life as possible despite her memory loss.

But could this romantic evening end in life long consequences as she realises she’s pregnant and expecting their first child together?

The pair have been getting on a lot better since she was allowed to return to Weatherfield.

Despite almost getting a divorce when they were at their all time lowest point in their marriage, they have slowly but surely worked their way back into each others lives and fans are hoping for a positive outcome.

On Wednesday, Shona discusses how she feels about David with cafe worker Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), after she reveals how besotted he is with her.

“What are you saying, he smells?” she exclaims.

Nina chuckles as she explains: “No, it’s an expression that’s all.”

As the pair get on with preparing sandwiches for the lunch run, Shona smiles to herself as she gushes over what Nina said about David and it looks like she’s in a good place.

After hearing how David feels, could she plan a romantic night for them where they take it to the next level?

David has been very understanding about the whole thing since having Shona back on the cobbles, and it might feel like the right time for both of them to spend the night together, just like old times.

Eager to get back to what they had with each other once again, there might be a surprise on the cards in the form of their first child.

Could this be the push they need to get back together for good?

Coronation Street airs tonight on ITV at 7:30pm.
