New MacBook deals make owning Apple's laptops far more affordable

If you are planning to buy a new Apple MacBook for the return to school and University then now is a good time to invest in one of these premium laptops. There’s a swathe of deals and offers on the entire range which helps make buying these devices a lot more affordable.

Some of the UK’s biggest retailers are offering incentives including being able to spread the cost with no charges for interest. There’s also discounts on some machines with prices dropped by as much as £400.

So, if you are in the market for a new Apple MacBook here are some of the best offers availble right now.

JOHN LEWIS

Although John Lewis hasn’t cut prices they are offering customers the option to spread the cost of the MacBook over 18 months with no interest to pay.

That means you take delivery of a MacBook Air from £47.45 per month or athe 16-inch MacBook Pro for £123.95 per month.

Along with that option there’s also the ability to save £40 on Beats headphones when you buy a MacBook.

CURRYS

Currys has not only dropped prices on some MacBooks but the UK store is also offering 12 months interest free credit to pay it back.

Unlike John Lewis, which is offering customers the chance to pay for their MacBook via monthly instalments, Currys has its MacBooks on a “buy now pay in 12 months time” scheme.

It’s worth noting that if you don’t pay the balance after a year you will then be charged interest.

Right now you can also save £165 on the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro or over £400 on last year’s model.

Theres’s also £50 off the new MacBook Air and you can save even more if you are happy to hand over your old MacBook.

APPLE

Although Apple isn’t offering price cuts or interest free credit there are a couple of incentives for students.

The US technology firm has announced that those in full-time education, who purchase one of these a Mac or iPad, will get a pair of AirPods thrown in for free.

That’s a pretty decent saving as these hugely popular wireless earbuds would usually set you back over £150.

Along with those free headphones, there’s also 20 percent off AppleCare+ plus which is definitely worth considering for students as it offers an insurance plan that provides up to three years of expert technical support and additional hardware coverage from Apple, including up to two incidents of accidental damage.

AppleCare+ can cost as much as £249 so there another decent saving to be made.
