Leeds United are in talks with Dinamo Zagreb over Croatia U21 international defender Josko Gvardiol.

The highly-rated 18-year old has attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs while he progressed from the Zagreb’s academy to their first team. 

Bayern Munich made enquiries in May.

The 6ft 2ins defender can play left back as well as centre back. 

Leeds want to bolster their defence line after Brighton refused to part with Ben White following his successful loan at Elland Road last term.

But they have brought in Germany international centre-back Robin Koch from Bundesliga outfit Freibu
