Football fans will be allowed into the Amex Stadium on Saturday for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic brought the sport to a halt in March. 

2,500 spectators will be in attendance as Brighton host Chelsea in a pre-season friendly, with both clubs agreeing to take part in the government’s pilot event.

Chelsea’s preparations for the 2020-21 campaign have been thrown into turmoil after multiple players tested positive for Coronavirus, but Blues fans can expect to see new signing Timo Werner make his first appearance on the south coast.
