Power has made stars of its cast with actor Larenz Tate now best known for his role as shady statesman Rashad Tate. The character became a suspect in the shooting of James “Ghost” St Patrick (Omari Hardwick). Tate will now be leading his own Power spin-off Influence which was confirmed earlier this year by Starz.
Who is Power Star Larenz Tate married to?
The American actor will be reprising his role as Councilman Tate, who continues his campaign to run for the Governor of New York.
As fans will remember, Councilman Tate got himself into quite the bind after he called a hit on Ghost.
However, the whole thing when sour when Ghost and Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) managed to fight off their would-be killers.
The surviving assassin came looking for the councilman but at the eleventh hour, the politician was saved by his policeman brother.

Power Book IV: Influence will follow the rise of Tate within the political sphere while looking at the dirty deals he’ll be making in his ascent to the top.
There’s no word yet on when Influence will be hitting screens but fans of the Starz franchise will be pleased to hear Power Book II: Ghost will be premiering on September 6.
There’s also nothing to suggest Tate’s character won’t be making a small appearance in the new series given they all exist within the same world.
While Councilman Tate is known for his steamy flings, many fans of Power are curious to know more about the actor and his love life.
“We take the best parts of relationships that we’ve seen and we try to incorporate it into our own. But our walk is not going to be anyone else’s walk.
“This is our thing. It’s not always easy obviously, being in the entertainment industry.
“There are a lot of pitfalls that are always around, and you have to have a sense of self and understanding the value of who you are and what you have.”
He went on to admit the pair slept into separate bedrooms, joking to the publication: “I sleep in a different room. When it’s time for me to get a little somethin-somethin, she turns up pregnant, all the time.”
Parrott was previously a dancer, performing with Prince and his group The New Power Generation.
She also featured on TV programmes including Cedric the Entertainer Presents and The Drew Carey Show, according to Amo Mama.
The star has also had small parts in the films You Got Served and Along Came Polly.
However, it appears she’s now hung up her dancing shoes and runs a bakery called the Sugar Fairy Bake Shop.
