The Chase: Jenny Ryan interrupted as contestant corrects The Vixen for awkward blunder

Jenny, 38, was unveiled as the quizmaster The Chase contestants had to defeat if they wanted to walk away with the jackpot prize tonight. As always, host Bradley Walsh, 60, teased she could have been one of five Chasers the contestants were going to face. First up to add some cash to the bank was Shaun from The Wirral and after he accumulated £6,000 during his cash-builder round, it was time for him to face the ITV quiz show guru but she made an awkward mistake with regards to where her opponent was from.

Shaun had told Bradley he wanted to face Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, 50, but he was happy to be taking on Jenny.

Taking her seat at the top of the table, The Vixen offered her opponent some welcome greetings, saying: “Hello, Scouse Shaun.”

Before she could carry on with what she was going to say, the contestant interrupted her as he told her he was actually from The Wirral.

Despite the confusion, the pair managed to get their round underway and the contestant made it back alongside the rest of his team for the Final Chase.

Taking to Twitter, fans were overjoyed to see the former Celebrity X Factor participant at the helm of the show.
