Samsung secret weapon that will stun Huawei, OnePlus, Google moves step closer to release

The price of foldable handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and the Huawei Mate Xs is arguably the biggest thing holding these devices back from widespread market adoption.

But Samsung are rumoured to have a handset up their sleeves that could finally bring foldable phones to the mainstream.

According to the rumour mill a new foldable Galaxy device is in the works that will come in at a sub-$1,000 price point.

That would put this rumoured device in a similar price region to non-foldable handsets like the P40 Pro, the Galaxy Note 20 and the iPhone 11 Pro.

And it looks like this rumoured device has moved one step closer to release.

According to a post by SamMobile, a new handset has just received Wi-Fi certification which could be Samsung’s budget foldable phone.
