Arsenal set transfer price for rising star wanted by Man Utd and Leeds

Arsenal have set their asking price for Manchester United and Leeds United target Sam Greenwood. The 18-year-old looks set to depart the Emirates Stadium two years after joining from Sunderland.

Arsenal’s academy chiefs awarded Greenwood a promotion to the Under-23 team after firing 15 goals in 39 appearances at youth level last season.

But he is attracting plenty of interest and looks set to be sold by the Gunners as part of a shake up of their development attacking options.

Old Trafford and Elland Road transfer chiefs are circling, with Arsenal prepared to sanction a deal worth an initial £1.5million rising to £3m with add-ons.

AC Milan and Juventus, who kept tabs on Greenwood’s development two years ago, are also in the race.
