Call of Duty DOWN: Server status latest, Warzone and Modern Warfare login queues

Call of Duty down reports are flooding in right now, with Warzone and Modern Warfare players being greeted with server queue screens when they try to play online.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has seen a huge spike in Call of Duty down reports today, with the issues mainly affecting players in the UK, US and Europe.

According to Down Detector stats, out of those affected some 92 per cent of COD fans are experiencing Call of Duty server connection issues.

While the official Activision server status website says the COD makers are investigating server connection issues right now in Modern Warfare and Warzone.

As the COD server issues hit players took to social networking site Twitter to report problems with the hugely popular PS4, Xbox One and PC game.

One tweeted: “@CallofDuty I am stuck in a server queue that is constantly trying to log in but won’t.”

While another posted: “@CallofDuty why are your servers DOWN again like I just want to play but I’m here sitting in server queue with the time going up. This is honestly annoying at this point.”

And one added: “A new week, another server error message from Call of Duty.”

According to the official Activision Support website, Call of Duty Modern Warfare is experiencing an outage on all platforms.

The issue began at just after quarter past three UK time. The Activision website says: “We’re currently experiencing connectivity issues. This incident is under investigation.”

The latest Call of Duty server issues come at the start of a big week for COD fans, with the latest entry in the hugely popular series getting revealed in a few days time.

On Wednesday August 26 the COD 2020 game – which is called Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War – will be getting its official unveiling.

Typically the annual Call of Duty release gets a grand unveiling in May each year, but this time around fans have had to wait a lot longer than usual.

Interestingly, instead of having a major event to launch the new COD game Activision will be unveiling the Call of Duty 2020 title in Warzone.

Players will have to log in to the hugely popular free Battle Royale shooter to get their first look at this year’s Call of Duty title.

Platforms for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War haven’t been announced yet but it looks like it will be arriving on current and next-gen consoles later this year.
