Alan Carr weight loss: Comedian causes shock with slim frame after following Adele's diet

The image was posted by Alan in a bid to encourage fans to raise money for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. However, fans couldn’t help but comment on Alan’s appearance.

The diet is the Sirtfood Diet, and it claims to activate the “skinny gene”.

Dieters do this by eating certain “sirtfoods”.

These include kale, red wine, strawberries, dark chocolate, turmeric, chillis and coffee.

These foods encourage the production of sirtuins, which helps with dropping weight.

Adele has lost a total of seven stone in an incredible transformation.

A source told People magazine Adele ate a diet of 1,000 calories a day to slim down, and drank one cup of green juice a day.

They said: “She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mum possible.

“Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better. It was never about losing weight.”

Adele’s weight loss was credited to a book in a recent post by the singer. 

She revealed she read Untamed, Stop Pleasing, Start Living by Glennon Doyle.

She shared an image of the book’s cover, and wrote: “If you’re ready – this book will shake your brain and make your soul scream.

“I am so ready for myself after reading this book!

“It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time. Whew!”
