Nicholas French, 21, has been charged with a dozen felonies for allegedly having separate sexual relationships with 13-year-old twin girls
A 21-year-old Florida man has been charged with a dozen felonies for having what law enforcement officials have described as separate sexual relationships with 13-year-old twin sisters.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that detectives launched an investigation on August 5 when one of the alleged victims, now aged 15, reported having a sexual relationship with 21-year-old Nicholas French beginning in early 2018.
According to the statement, detectives learned that French, then aged 18, also began a separate sexual relationship with the victim’s twin sister around the same time.
French reportedly communicated with the teenage girls through social media, asked them and used a ride-share service to transport them to his house.

Last Friday, detectives executed a search warrant at French’s home in the 6700 block of Approach Road in Sarasota and took him into custody.
During the search, forensic staff recovered evidence corroborating the allegations, according to the sheriff’s office.
A probable cause affidavit obtained by the DailyMail.com stated that one of the twins told police that her relationship with French lasted between April 2018 and July of this year, and involved oral sex, digital penetration and intercourse.

Their encounters took place at French’s home, in the victim’s bedroom and in the man’s car parked at a mall, according to the document.
Last month, the girl said French sent a Lyft to bring her to his home and had sex with her, even though she told him she was on her period.
According to the affidavit, the encounter left a bloodstain on the floor of a circular room in French’s house.
When members of the sheriff’s office Special Victims Unit later arrived at the residence to execute the search warrant, they walked into the circular room as described by the alleged victim and ‘confirmed the presence of blood’ on the floor.
French’s 19-year-old girlfriend told investigators that when she asked her boyfriend about the blood, she said he told her he had sex with ‘a female prior to their relationship and she bled on the floor.’
French was booked into the Sarasota County Jail on 11 counts of lewd of lascivious battery of a victim 12 to 16 years old, and a single count of violation of probation.

French is being held without bond pending his arraignment scheduled for September 25.
