Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort to coach amateur investors on ‘how to take advantage of opportunities’

The infamous stockbroker who wrote the book that became The Wolf of Wall Street movie is staging a comeback to coach amateur investors.

Jordan Belfort – who was portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2013 film about his life – has been hired by controversial US firm Raging Bull.

The 58-year-old will take small investors into ‘the mind of the wolf’, sharing his thoughts on ‘how to take advantage of opportunities, and how to learn from your mistakes’.

In 1999 he admitted fraud and other crimes involving stock-market manipulation and in 2003 was jailed for three-and-a-half years.

Belfort has been barred for life from giving advice on stocks by regulators, and is now a writer and motivational speaker.

Raging Bull offers online training in trading skills but it has been criticised for deluging customers with promotional emails and asking them to sign non-disclosure agreements before granting refunds.
