As it stands No Time To Die will hit UK cinemas on November 12, 2020 – the latest delayed release date for Daniel Craig’s final James Bond movie. Now in MGM’s latest investor call, COO Christopher Brearton has given an update amid rumours No Time To Die will be pushed back yet again to 2021. According to The Spy Command, the studio boss said this month: “We continue to monitor and adjust the timing of our remaining 2020 [film] slate.”
That’s hardly a commitment to sticking to the November release date, but for now that’s what MGM are “currently” doing.
Brearton added: “The theatrical marketplace is in flux.
“There’s great uncertainty about what the near term holds for access and attendance.”
The boss also said MGM were optimistic about their cinematic distribution going forwards.

No doubt EON productions, who make the Bond films won’t be keen on a PVOD release.
After all, James Bond is very much a cinematic experience and the Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson-headed company tends to prefer traditional approaches.
Meanwhile, last month Bond new site MI6 HQ’s sources revealed that a delay to summer 2021 for No Time To Die is under “active consideration by MGM and Universal.”
If Jurassic World: Dominion is moved from June 11, 2021 to later in the year, No Time To Die could potentially take that date.
No Time To Die’s synopsis reads: “Five years after the capture of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, James Bond has left active service.
“He is approached by Felix Leiter, his friend and a CIA officer, who enlists his help in the search for Valdo Obruchev, a missing scientist.
“When it becomes apparent that Obruchev was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.”
No Time To Die is currently set for UK release on November 12, 2020.
