Barring a late twist, it appears Ramsdale will remain in the Premier League next season signing for Chris Wilder’s men.

The youngster will be returning to Bramall Lane after progressing through their academy in 2013 and making two FA Cup appearances in 2016.

After successful first stint at the club – before being snapped up by Bournemouth for £1m –  Ramsdale will be looking to further the success of the club.

Ramsdale made 37 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth last season and had previously enjoyed loan spells at Chesterfield and Wimbledon.

The England U21’s No.1 will provide Wilder with some stability between the sticks as Dean Henderson remains in negotiations with Manchester United over a lucrative new long-term deal.
