Inter ace Romelu Lukaku hails Man Utd trio and gives classy verdict on Europa League exit

Asked if he was disappointed he wouldn’t be facing United in the final, Lukaku – who scored in his record 10th successive game in this competition – told BT Sport: “Nah, you know, I think United tried their hardest.

“I think they had a really good season and I think Ole did a good job.

“The players there did really well. Greenwood’s coming through, Martial, Rashford.

“I expected all of that so I’m really happy for them. They look really good for next season, I have no doubts.”

Inter were comfortable winners against Shakhtar as the Serie A side scored five with Lautaro Martinez, like Lukaku, scoring twice and Danilo D’Ambrosio also on the scoresheet.

The Italians will take on Sevilla in Friday’s final having lost just one of their last 17 games since football across Europe restarted amid the coronavirus pandemic.
