Christian Slater plays an older Dan Broderick in Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story.
Dan Broderick and his new wife Linda were killed by Dan’s ex-wife, Betty Broderick in November 1989.
Betty Broderick is currently serving life in prison for the double murder.
The anthology series flashes back to the earlier years of Dan and Betty’s relationship, starting from when the pair met at college.

“Christian and I just tried to work together and learn together to tell the story.
“We were very lucky to have fantastic directors. For episode two, Meera Menon was brilliant.
“Having watched it, I saw how well she told the story and established the transitions from us to the other actors.
“We were very lucky to be in such capable hands.”
Speaking separately to the New York Times, Mason discussed how he trained his voice to sound exactly like Christian Slater.
He said: “I would watch him and then I would go away and make sure it’s grounded in what I was doing.
“I had a few warmups. I’d do a full vocal warmup before I even head to set. But then on set, there were a few things — lines of Christian’s that I heard him say on set — and I would run them over and over and over and over, just as we’d run-up to ‘action.’
“So, as soon as they say, ‘OK, rolling,’ I’d stop blabbering to myself.
“I’m sure the sound guys hated me. Everyone else was looking at me weird, but it just got me into the register where the voice was sitting.”

Who is Chris Mason?
Chris Mason is an up and coming actor from Liverpool, England.
The 29-year-old actor is best known or playing Leo Humphries in ITV’s Broadchurch.
In Broadchurch, Mason starred alongside David Tennant and Olivia Colman.
Viewers may also recognise Mason from his role as Ronnie Hart in the Tom Hardy gangster drama, Legend.
Mason’s other well-known credits include Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists and Vampire Academy.
In Pretty Little Liars, Mason took on the role of Nolan Hotchkiss, alongside Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish and Sofia Carson.
Mason took on the role of Ray/Ralf Sarcozy in the 2014 film, Vampire Academy.
He is also well known for starring in the sci-fi thriller, The Mad Genius Project as Mason.
Mason will appear in the upcoming HBO miseries The American Guest as Kermit Roosevelt.
His other credits include The Honour List, Between Two Worlds and Wonderkid.
Mason is married to American actress, Spencer Locke.
Locke is well known for her roles as Kylie in Cougar Town, Jenny Bennett in Monster House, Ione in Detention, and K-Mart in the Resident Evil film series.
