Hamilton and co. can now enjoy a two-week break before they go racing again at the Belgian Grand Prix later this month.
The Brit urged fans to stay safe after extending his strong start to the coronavirus-hit 2020 F1 campaign.
“I just want to say a big, big thank you to all the guys back in the factory through this really difficult time for everyone in the world,” said Hamilton.
“And to everyone in the world, just to continue one, keep pushing, keep staying safe. I hope everyone at home is staying safe.
“We have to keep wearing these masks, not only protecting ourselves but other people.”
