Rochelle Humes says starting her brand My Little Coco was the bravest thing she's done

Not a lot of people know this but I’m very good at… time management. Before I had a family, I was always the one that was late and saying I was in the car when I most definitely was in the bath. But now I can manage to split myself into a thousand pieces.

My nickname is… Roch. My friends, family and people I work with call me that. Marvin calls me “Rochy Balboa”, which I’m not sure is complimentary. He jokes it’s because I’m punching above my weight. And my friends at school used to call me “Noodle” because my hair was really curly.

The bravest thing I’ve ever done is… start my own business just before a global pandemic. I started working on children’s skin and hair brand My Little Coco just over three years ago and it launched in February. As soon as I had kids I knew there was a gap in the market and it took a lot of time and development, but we’re now full steam ahead and I’m really proud of it.

My favourite TV show is… Naked Attraction. Marvin and I recently filmed our series The Hit List in Scotland and it was on telly every night in the hotel. I’ve become obsessed with it. It’s so good.

My perfect evening would be… a nice bath, the TV to myself, lots of snacks and my feet up until further notice. But, typically, it would be to go out for a nice little sushi dinner and a margarita or two. I’m one extreme to the other.

I’d like to say sorry to… my mum. I wasn’t a massive nightmare when I was younger, but it’s little things. When I first passed my driving test and went out, she would say, “Make sure you let me know when you’ve arrived safely” and it would bug me that she’d constantly call and text me. But now I’ve got my own kids even the thought of them driving off in a car and not answering the phone means I totally get it.

My first kiss was… at a train station. I remember I’d pretended that I’d kissed someone before I actually had because I was embarrassed. So when it happened I was so happy that I wasn’t lying anymore.

The one thing I’d change about myself is… the fact that my face has no filter. I can be honest to a fault sometimes.

The best thing my parents taught me was… my mum has always taught me if you don’t ask, you don’t get and that you get one life so you should always go for it.

The last time I cried… I cry all the time at the minute. When something’s serious and there’s a situation I need to deal with I’m not emotional, I’m very pragmatic. But on the flip side The Voice Kids could be on and when one of them gets through, I cry happy tears.

The first record I ever bought was… 911. That was the first concert I went to as well. I used to love them.

It’s not good for my image but I like… puzzles. I find them so therapeutic and I can zone out while doing one. My kids love them, too, but not in the same way that I do.

My greatest weakness is… penne pasta with a spicy tomato sauce and loads of cheese.

If I could pass any law I would… make it compulsory that every time you’d had a really busy fortnight with work, you had to vacate the country and go to the beach.

I drive… a 4×4. I used to love driving down the motorway listening to my favourite songs but now I barely drive apart from the school run and to the supermarket and back.

The shop I can’t walk past is… Zara. I feel like I have to go in and look and then always come out with something.

The most expensive thing I’ve ever splashed out on is… a house. They’re a constant cost.

Who would play you in a film? Kerry Washington. I’m not sure how interesting it would be at the moment, though. There would be a lot of scenes of her on the sofa with a big bag of biscuits.

The worst job I’ve ever had is… as a promo girl. I used to stand outside Tesco and hand out leaflets. When people don’t take one and won’t make eye contact with you, it’s the most soul-destroying moment.

My favourite place in Britain is… Oxfordshire. We got married in Oxford and I had my 30th birthday party there last year.

My last holiday was… Maldives in the New Year. It’s one of the only places in the world I’ve ever been to that actually looks better than in pictures.

I’m currently reading… Queen Bee by Jane Fallon.

The best day of my life was… my wedding day. Beforehand a lot of people said it’s hard to take everything in, but I was the polar opposite. I absolutely loved it, to the point where we’d booked the venue up to a certain time but – after quite a bit to drink – I asked how long it would cost to extend it for a bit longer. I probably nearly got divorced before we’d even been married a day. Marvin had to kidnap me and tell me, “We need to go back to the hotel now.” I just didn’t want it to end.

If I had half an hour left on Earth I would… have a bath.
