All Sky TV customers get 25% off their bill thanks to this blockbuster Lidl deal

If you fancy cutting down on your monthly Sky bill then there’s a way to get 25 percent off thanks to Lidl. The supermarket chain’s loyalty app is currently offering cheaper Sky TV and it’s not just for new customers.

The blockbuster discount is available to new and existing users who sign up to any Sky TV pack.

These include Sky Signature, HD, Kids, Ultimate On Demand, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports and Sky Q experience.

To claim the money off your bill you simply need to sign up to the Lidl Plus app then head to the partner discounts section at bottom of the screen.

Here you’ll see the Sky 25% off offer and instructions on how to redeem. If you’re a new user, the app will direct you to Sky’s website where the reduction will be applied when you complete the purchase.

However, although the Lidl deal doesn’t include broadband reduction Sky has got some of its own discounts which can drop the price by up to £22 per month.

For example, Sky has its Superfast Broadband and Sky TV bundle for £39 per month – saving £13.

There’s also Superfast Broadband, Netflix and Sky TV for £43 per month – saving £15 or Superfast Broadband, Sky Sports and Cinema for £63 – saving £22.

The news of these deals come as Sky has just announced a boost to its HDR (High Dynamic Range) content.

The ability to view content in HDR was released back in May 2020, with content slowly being released in this pin-sharp format. In fact, Sky has just announced its next swathe of shows that will be available in HDR, which starts with the release of Sky Originals Britannia II and Cobra, which stars Robert Carlyle. Bulletproof 2 will also get an HDR makeover from today and this will be followed by Save Me Too in late August, plus A Discovery of Witches plus Brassic 2 next month.

Sky is also reminding customers that it’s planning to have Sky Cinema movies in HDR in time for Christmas, with HDR live sport available in 2021.

All Sky Q boxes have also recently had a reboot with a new on-screen design and improved voice search aimed at making it easier to find content. This blockbuster upgrade was announced last month with all Sky Q devices receiving the update this week.
