McDonald’s is just one of thousands of firms that had to close down amid the coronavirus pandemic. The restaurant has recently reopened to customers who want to dine in following more than four months of closure. But, whether your go-to breakfast is a sausage and egg McMuffin or a tasty hash brown and a morning coffee, there’s no denying McDonald’s is a firm favourite among Brits. And now, there is even more time to grab breakfast in the mornings.
What time does breakfast end at McDonald’s?
McDonald’s announced in November 2019 the fast-food chain would be extending its breakfast hours.
The later finish was introduced into all branches of McDonald’s on November 20, 2019.
The burger giant is now serving breakfast until 11am every day, whereas before the cut off was 10.30am.
This means customers have an extra half-an-hour in the morning to pop down to McDonald’s and have breakfast.

Michelle Graham-Clare, Vice President of food and marketing at McDonald’s and Ireland, said the move was welcomed by customers.
She said: “We all understand the pain of missing out on a McMuffin by a matter of just a few minutes.
“We have listened to our customers’ pleas and are delighted to extend breakfast serving time until 11am.”
McDonald’s starts its normal menu every day from 11am, and 24 hour restaurants will start serving breakfast at 5am when they switch over.
In July, McDonald’s started by bringing back milkshakes, mayo chickens, bacon mayo chickens, hot chocolates, bacon double cheeseburgers and Happy Meal organic milk bottles.
McDonald’s is also taking part in the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, meaning the already-affordable menu is further discounted.
In a statement, the firm said: “The Apple Pie and Chicken Legend range have been among the most frequently requested ‘missing items’ from the menu.
“While the double quarter pounder with cheese, which proved incredibly popular in August 2019, returns for the long haul and benefits from the Government’s VAT reduction, now available for £4.29.”
The new price of the quarter pounder is cheaper than before, thanks to McDonald’s decision to pass the Government’s newly-imposed VAT cut to customers.
McDonald’s said: “With thanks to the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, choosing to sit down and have a coffee break in over 1200 restaurants will see customers enjoy a McCafé black coffee and a donut for less than £1.30.”
Despite reopening to customers, McDonald’s has adopted stringent cleaning measures, as well as added efforts to maintain social distancing in kitchens and counters.
Hand sanitiser stations have been installed for customers’ use, while visitors are required to follow one-way walkways and social distancing while queuing.
