Kate, Duchess of Cambridge is often spotted out and about undertaking royal duties, and her outfit choice is often complimented. Whether dressing up for a royal event, donning a casual jeans and t-shirt for a more rustic engagement or popping on a patterned dress to visit a charity – Kate’s fashion often sparks trends worldwide.
She often uses her fashion choices to make a statement, dressing in blue for the Cambridge family’s Clap for Our Carers event, the colour of the NHS.
Again she wore a navy blue dress for a visit to a Norfolk hospital in July this year, celebrating the 72nd birthday of the NHS.
Prince William followed her lead, wearing a blue suit, shirt and tie for the event.

What is the touching reason Kate always carries her handbag in her left hand?
Eagle-eyed royal fans may have spotted Kate often carried her handbag in her left hand when out and about.
There is a practical reason for this, and etiquette expert Myka Meier explained why Kate – and several other royals – do this.
Posting an image of Princess Diana carrying her handbag in her left hand, Ms Meier wrote in 2019: “Royal Etiquette Hack: When entering a room or event, handbags or briefcases are held in the LEFT hand so that your right hand stays open to meet, greet and shake hands! Prince Charles does this too!”
Instead, royals have been seen touching elbows or using other greetings as social distancing guidelines remain in place.
Prince Charles in particular has been using the Indian Namaste greeting to avoid contact.
The Namaste greeting involves holding hands together in a prayer position in front of you, and bowing slightly to the person you are greeting.
Charles was seen greeting guests at the Commonwealth Day service on March 9 in this way, as well as French President Emmanuel Macron in June.
The royals have also been practising social distancing as they slowly restart undertaking engagements.
During lockdown, royal duties had turned virtual, with members of The Firm using video calls to keep in touch with various patronages and charities.
Kate and Prince William in particular regularly used Zoom for their royal engagements, and to keep in touch with family members.
However this has been tricky, as Kate and William revealed their youngest child – Prince Louis, two – has been ending calls at impromptu moments.
Speaking to the BBC in April William said: “For some reason, he sees the red button and he always wants to press the red button.”
The Cambridges have also spoken about how Louis doesn’t understand the rules of social distancing due to his young age.
In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Kate explained how the two-year-old just wants to hug everyone he sees.
She said: “Louis doesn’t understand social distancing. He goes out wanting to cuddle anything, particularly any babies younger than him.”
