Jeremy Clarkson slammed for 'boastful' A-Levels post as Piers Morgan's son hits out

Jeremy Clarkson took to Twitter today in a bid to reassure teenagers who did not get the exam results they were expecting. The Grand Tour presenter tweeted his A Level grades hoping to prove that low results were not the end of the world, however the message did not go down well with everyone.

One user thought that Jeremy was boasting in the post, which he shared with his 7.2 million followers.

Another claimed the post was “egotistical”.

The television star, who turned 60 in April and lives with his girlfriend on a farm in the Cotswolds, wrote online: “A level results not great?

“Don’t worry, I got a C and 2 Us and I’m currently building a large house with far reaching views of the Cotswolds.”

“Oh can we not drop these annual ‘I’m part of a small minority who performed badly in my A Levels, but I’m still obscenely rich’ tweets?” wrote one annoyed user.

“It takes a special kind of egotist to take an exam results day for teenagers and turn it into a boast about how rich you are,” another added.

Trying to defend the post, another follower remarked: “He’s trying to say don’t be too hard on yourself if the results aren’t good, no problem with that mate.”

Over on his own Twitter account, Piers Morgan’s son Spencer shared a post about A Levels within half an hour of Jeremey.

“Newsflash: No one cares about what you got in your A levels and where you are now,” he told his 38,900 followers.

The 27-year-old was educated at a private school and is now a freelance journalist.

As well as appearing in numerous television shows, father-of-three Jeremey runs a farm shop with his partner Lisa Hogan.

The Diddly Squat Farm is located in Chadlington, West Oxfordshire.
