Tesco, Asda and M&S shoppers can get same day delivery on hundreds of items – how it works

When trying to order their weekly shop, some customers have waited days to bag a delivery slot. This is how you can get same day delivery from Tesco, Asda, Marks & Spencer and Aldi.

“Check out before 1pm to ensure your delivery arrives on the same day.”

If there is space, the items would then be delivered on the same day.

Asda

The supermarket chain is trialling a new delivery service in partnership with Uber Eats.

Those who sign up can choose from more than 300 Asda products that are available on the Uber Eats app.

DON’T MISS

After selecting groceries, shoppers will have their food delivered on the same day.

Vice president of online grocery at Asda Simon Gregg said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with Uber Eats to trial a rapid grocery delivery service for customers in Leeds and Birmingham.

“This will give Asda customers more choice in how they shop with us and offer yet another way to quickly and conveniently get their favourite branded and own-brand products delivered to the doorstep.

“Customers can use the Uber Eats app to select from hundreds of items for delivery in the same way they would shop for a takeaway.”

Marks & Spencer

M&S food is loved by many Britons but the retailer has not traditionally offered delivery.

However, it has teamed up with Deliveroo to give same day delivery for a limited time.

Using the Deliveroo app, customers can browse M&S products from their local store and order for the items to be sent that day.

Those who want to take advantage of the service will need to act quickly as it won’t be around for much longer.

A statement from M&S said: “We partnered with Deliveroo to help give our customers access to essential groceries and some of their M&S favourites during these unprecedented times.

“As lockdown is now easing and life is returning to the new normal, we will be terminating this service from Tuesday 1 September.”

Aldi

Aldi offers delivery on a small selection of products on its website.

By using Deliveroo, customers can view even more items and get treated to same day delivery.

There are 20 stores in England offering this service and roughly 200 Aldi products listed on the app.

Richard Thornton, Communications Director at Aldi UK, said: “Even as many lockdown restrictions are lifted, we’re aware that there are still many people who are shielding and would like to shop at Aldi but can’t.

“In extending this trial further, we are making it even easier for thousands more people in different parts of the country to get hold of great quality food at Aldi’s unbeatable prices.”
