Money Heist ending ‘revealed’ as Palermo star drops huge season 5 spoiler

Part Five of the popular Spanish thriller came to a crashing conclusion on Netflix earlier this year. As fans try to guess how the Professor and his team will escape, one of the show’s stars may have given the game away before Money Heist returns next year.

No release date has been set for the fifth season of Money Heist, but Netflix subscribers are hopeful the Spanish series will be back on screens soon.

When viewers last left the show, the Professor (played by Álvaro Morte) was being held at gunpoint after Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) infiltrated his hideout.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking for the team of robbers to escape the Bank of Spain after the tragic death of Nairobi (Alba Flores).

The crew declared war on the Spanish police as Part Four came to a close, and the international hit show is building towards an epic climax.

The plot of the upcoming fifth instalment is being kept under lock and key, although some clues have already been spotted now filming has started amid easing of lockdown restrictions in Spain.

Alarm bells were already ringing when Pedro Alonso (Berlin) teased his character’s return in a potential flashback for Part Five on Instagram.

Now, another Instagram clue may have given away a major death at the end of Part Five.

Fans took to Reddit when they noticed Rodrigo De La Serna has been quiet on his social media profile amid all the hype for the new season.

The iconic Dali masked appears cracked and battle damaged, and lying in what could be a pile of ash.

This already implies the final stage of the Professor’s second heist on the Bank of Spain could go badly wrong ahead of the anticipated finale.

However, other fans argued it’s probably a stretch to start marking graves for characters simply due to online inactivity.

Another viewer responded: “Rodrigo is not active on social media or busy with other things. Alba is not active either, she hasn’t posted anything for a month.”

Meanwhile, other fans have suggested the stars are simply less interested with the series now Money Heist is starting to come to an end.

One more fan said: “I think they just don’t care, this is the end of the show now and some actors are clearly not being treated as fairly and equally as others, there may be some rancor.”

There is still plenty of time before filming for the new season comes to an end so fans have their eyes peeled for new clues from the cast and crew.

Money Heist Parts 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix.
