He continued: “You’d go to the BBC’s White City building and you’d have to go in the lift to go up, because everything we did was on the second or third floors, and the lift was always full of people who were simply getting a coffee.”
The Man In Japan favourite went on to share his honest thoughts over those who prefer coffee over tea in the workplace.
“They were either going to get one or they were coming back with one, with those stupid little cardboard pyjama things on it and the stupid splintery wooden stick, that I hate and it wasn’t even a ritual,” he stated.
“It was a displacement activity. I don’t think they had anything to do, they had some decision to make and they didn’t want to confront them so they thought, ‘Let’s have a coffee.'”
